Introduction

Opportunities for learning on line are increasing at an amazing rate. There is a need for high quality, on line content that is relevant for Australian schools. Locally many educators are developing and producing materials or looking for existing products to suit the needs of the range of learners at primary, secondary and tertiary levels.

Quality Assurance Criteria for Developing Digital Curriculum Resources is a tool to assist in the planning, development, production and evaluation of educational materials. It recognises the potential of information technologies and multimedia applications to enhance all aspects of student learning and provides support to strengthen the links between educators and on line developers. The framework can be applied to the planning, selection or delivery of any learning resources. Here it is applied to on line resources.
